The Banff Trailers Square Dance Club was created by Ron and Jeanie Refvik more than fifty years ago. Ron, who is now retired, was one of Calgary's most famous callers, and he was the choreographer and caller for the 1988 Winter Olympics Square Dance exhibition performance. We had Cathy and Dave Ormon, Chairpersons for the 2002 National Convention, as our callers until Cathy's retirement.

Banff Trailers are here to have a good time. Whether we have Mardi Gras or Mexican or Lord of the Dance theme dances, we have a great time and serve good food as well; and we help Calgary's needy with toys, food and funds through our traditional Toy Dance. Our mainstream callers Lorne and Barb Smith are tolerant of our antics and help us to have fun, and we never have a dull moment with our beginner callers David and Claudia Littlefair .
