Cathy & Dave Ormon have been square dancing since they were teenagers. During their teen years they competed with The Calgary Teens Square Dance Club at the Pacific Northwest Teen Festival. After 1975, they took some time off to have a family and returned to square dancing in 1989.

Cathy attended Caller's School in 1992, learned to cue round dances in 1994, and they started to teach round dancing in 1996. From 1996 to 2004 they taught round dancing with their club The Scoot-A- Rounds.

They are currently calling for two Mainstream Clubs - The Queens & Jacks and The Banff Trailers. Cathy previously called Plus level with their Ping Pong Plus Club. Cathy has called at every Alberta Provincial Convention since 1994, and has called at three Canadian National Conventions. She has been the guest caller for several clubs in Central Alberta, in British Columbia and in Hawaii.

Dave & Cathy were the General Chaircouple for the ASRDF Provincial Convention '99 in Strathmore, and for the very successful Canadian National Convention "Festival 2004, Calgary".
