| The Dots & Dashers is a group of people enjoying the common interest of square dancing. We accept new members who are currently dancing and couples who wish to learn the art and enjoyment of square dancing. We are a modern square dance club that offers instruction at the beginner and mainstream level. Beginner classes will be on Monday evenings beginning Sept. 15 - 2008, and will continue through until April. Mainstream level dance nights are held twice monthly, every second and fourth Saturday at Wild Rose United Church Hall located at 1317 - 1 Street N.W.
Our club caller is Tom Dakers. He has been teaching square dancing for over 30 years. Tom has been calling and teaching at our club for 4 years now. During our Saturday night dances he also cues our round dances.
The Dots & Dashers started in 1963 and has been ongoing continuously up to the present time. At present our club has a membership of over 50 couples.
We welcome all those who are interested in becoming members to come down to one of our dances and observe the fun and enthusiasm. No special invitation is necessary, just come down and introduce yourself and you will be welcomed. |
