5 couples from the Wheatland Whirlers, who danced in The Opening Ceremonies of The 1988 Olympic Winter Games, still had their costumes, and more to the point could still get them on(!), danced at The Career Expo held at Strathmore High School on Wednesday 13th Feb 2008, officially the 20th Anniversary of the opening ceremonies for the games.
Many, many questions were asked by students, teachers, and visitors. We were congratulated for making the effort to appear in these costumes. From the High School we continued to our regular dance at Westmount Elementary, where we received more applause.
